After an unusually hairy month at P&MM in Milton Keynes when 44 male employees participated in the Movember charity challenge to grow the most outstanding moustache, the team has raised an impressive £3,500 for testicular and prostate cancer.
This year there were participants, organised by Ross Scaife, from various divisions of P&MM including Filmology, Employee Benefits, Motivation, as well as sister company Zibrant. After calculating the typical monthly facial hair growth for a man at around half an inch, the organisation set the combined target to a total of at least 22 inches.
Female staff were also able to participate for one day of the initiative, being encouraged to wear a fake moustache. Again, this generated a high uptake across the company.
David Pearson, director of P&MM division, Filmology commented: “Not only have we raised an impressive amount for a fantastic cause, we’ve also had fun whilst creating a great sense of team spirit.”
