High Profile sponsors charity event

High Profile, UK manufacturer of standard and bespoke made plastic promotional products, donated specially designed sports bottles for a local boy’s Dragon 500 charity 4-day cycle ride between 23-26 June, which raised a total of £24,459.82 for the UK’S leading children’s cancer charity, CLIC Sargent.

The Dragon 500 team was set up by Mark and Donna Boyles, parents to Oliver who was diagnosed with a brain tumour in August 2010 at the age of 6. Oliver has endured various operations and months of intensive chemotherapy and radiotherapy, which ended in April 2011.

CLIC Sargent has been with the Boyles through every step of Oliver’s treatment from supplying specialist nurses to their home to helping with post-treatment. Now he is recovering, Dragon 500’s aim is to raise the profile of CLIC Sargent and donations for the charity in order to help other families in similar positions.

Oliver and the 18 riders started the challenge in their small village in Epwell, Oxfordshire and travelled to South Wales, tackling big climbs, busy roads, wind, rain and sunshine, before making their way back and visiting the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford. High Profile was one of the many sponsors of this good cause and donated specially designed Dragon 500 sports bottles for the 4-day cycle.

Richard Wood, Managing Director of High Profile, who met Oliver, commented: “At High Profile we always try to get involved with charitable causes and as soon as we heard about Oliver’s story we knew that we wanted to support Dragon 500 in the best way that we could.  Our sports bottles, personalised with the event name, were a perfect solution to keep the cyclists refreshed, as well as an excellent way to promote the charity.”

High Profile celebrates year-end results

Manufacturer of standard and bespoke plastic promotional products High Profile has seen sales figures grow by 23% as it continues to generate new business wins, as well as retain and renew existing contracts. Since the company’s start in 2006, sales have grown from £1.2m to £2.7m.

Richard Wood, Managing Director of High Profile, commented: “Throughout 2010 we saw a positive upsurge in the market and this, along with the team’s continued hard work, has ensured that the figures are so positive. We are in a great position to maintain High Profile’s success into 2011.”

The company attributes its attention to industry trends and customer service to its achievement. Fuelled by spending cuts, the promotional merchandise industry has experienced an increasing level of interest in low-cost items and, notably, the sentiment seems to be on UK sourcing where possible. High Profile’s 2011 catalogue reflects this by making price reductions on some products and including 30 new products, which were developed to meet high customer demand.

To meet this demand without sacrificing quality service, High Profile has increased its staff to 32 employees. There was growth in sales and production but particularly in the customer service department where attention to detail, communication and quick turnaround remains paramount.

Wood added: “We have ensured that the key decision-makers remain close to the customers. So where a quick response is required, it happens; and when we receive queries, we take action immediately. We are continuously working hard to ensure that we are offering clients quality, high-end and useful merchandise that can keep up with the speed of their purchases.”
