We look forward to assisting London & Partners and ISES with the event and hope it leads to some interesting insights.”

Zanine Adams, Head of Event Solutions and UK Sales, London & Partners adds: “London is already a world leading events and business destination and the Games in 2012 have not only drawn a spotlight on the capital, but also promise to deliver an exciting legacy which will benefit London and the events industry for years to come. As the official promotional agency and convention bureau for the capital, London & Partners are working with the industry to ensure that we can together make the most of this legacy opportunity as we promote London as the most exciting, dynamic and versatile events destination in the world.”

Jonathan Byrne, President of ISES and Chief Operating Officer at the Royal Aeronautical Society also adds: “It is important for ISES to work together with other key event industry organisations like UVL and London & Partners to demonstrate how successful partnerships like this can deliver real value to both our membership and the wider industry.”

Unique Venues of London (UVL) has announced some changes to its board which includes the formation of a new general manager role.

Hatswell, who has been with UVL for 10 years, on the board for seven and chairman for four will continue working with UVL as the new general manager from September.

The role is the first position of its kind within UVL, which is currently run by board members who are all volunteers from with its membership base. The general manager position will assist the acting chairman in maintaining growth in the organisation as well as managing the collection’s annual activities, marketing and events programme.

Hatswell comments: “UVL has long been part of my career and I am delighted that I can continue to support all its work in the industry as its first general manager. As the organisation has continued to develop over the years, a real need has evolved for additional behind the scenes support for the board and membership. UVL is going from strength to strength and I am pleased to be able to continue on its exciting journey”.

Moya Maxwell, head of commercial programming at the Royal Opera House adds: “Lisa has been a wonderful chairman for UVL, seeing it through some of its biggest achievements such as the expansion of the membership, the development of the ever popular website, launching the first UVL Expo and FAM trips, marking its 18th birthday, as well as its successful programme of exhibitions and events. I hope to continue her excellent work as acting chairman and I look forward to continuing to advance UVL as a leading consortium of iconic venues in London.”

UVL opens its job page to events industry

Unique Venues of London (UVL), the marketing consortium consisting of iconic event spaces in the capital, has made the jobs page on its website available to the wider events industry.

Previously only highlighting jobs within the UVL portfolio of venues to its members, the site has now adapted a more inclusive policy. From this month, any industry venue, supplier or agency can now advertise vacancies on UVL’s jobs page, providing access to some of the leading event professionals in the UK.

Lisa Hatswell, Chairman of UVL and Sales and Corporate Events Manager at EDF Energy London Eye, said: “As a leading venue consortium our website has become an increasingly popular resource for the industry as a whole. We hope to expand this resource with the addition of our industry wide jobs page, a cost-effective way for all venues or suppliers to find the best match for their vacancy. One of the only collectives of venues to offer this service in London, UVL continues to contribute to the high standards within the industry in new ways.”
